Warning These medicine are fake don't buy them

Islamabad: DRAP (Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan) has issued a medical product alert for seven substandard medicines.

According to details, the Punjab Drug Control Directorate has launched a crackdown against substandard medicines and has declared seven medicines as non-compliant. These include sterile water, anti-inflammatory and pain relief creams, tablets, and surgical gloves.

According to the DRAP alert, the substandard medicines were manufactured by companies based in China, Karachi, Lahore, and Gujranwala. These medicines failed to meet the standards during drug laboratory testing.

The alert stated that the batch 25F01 of Sterile Water for Injection (5ml) is substandard, as foreign particles were found in its samples. The anti-allergic tablet Cataphen 10mg batch CT67 was also declared substandard, along with the anti-inflammatory and pain-relief cream Cannabex batch KNX270.

According to DRAP, Cannabex cream was found to be substandard during laboratory testing. Surgitex Latex Surgical Gloves batch 20241001, Medistel Injection Sterile Water batch 25L608, and the anti-inflammatory, pain-relief cream Canodex-N batch F727 were also declared substandard.

The alert further stated that the anti-allergic tablet Bytech 10mg batch E090 is also substandard. DRAP has instructed that these substandard medicines are extremely dangerous, especially for children and elderly patients, and should be immediately seized from the Punjab markets.
