A heartbreaking video is circulating on social media platforms in which a batsman tragically passed away immediately after hitting a six.

According to Indian media, the viral video is from Ferozepur, a city in the Indian state of Punjab, where the batsman can be seen hitting a six on a delivery.

However, right after hitting the six, the batsman is seen kneeling on the pitch and then collapsing.

Seeing the batsman unconscious, other players rush towards him and attempt to perform CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), but sadly, he could not be saved.

The batsman was identified as Harjit Singh, who suffered a heart attack while playing cricket. He was playing at the DAV School Ground in Ferozepur.

It is worth mentioning that a similar incident occurred in Mumbai in June 2024, where a 42-year-old man also lost his life during a cricket match.

The man was identified as Ram Ganesh Tiwari, who collapsed immediately after hitting a six during a company-organized match at a farmhouse in the Kashimira area of the city.

Ram Ganesh Tiwari was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

In recent times, several incidents of sudden cardiac deaths have been reported in India.
